On Wednesday, the Punjab government executed a substantial administrative reshuffle, resulting in the transfer of 22 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and eight Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officials with immediate effect. Among those reassigned are the Deputy Commissioners of Mansa, Sangrur, and Bathinda.
According to the new orders, IAS officer Navjot Kaur has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Mansa, while Rahul Chaba will take over as the Deputy Commissioner of Sangrur, and Rajesh Dhiman will assume the role in Bathinda. Additionally, Mohammad Taiyab has been designated as the Secretary of Prisons, and Gurpreet Singh Khaira has been appointed as the Secretary of Justice.
Kulwant Singh has been named the Director of Local Government, while Shaukat Ahmed Pare will serve as the Special Secretary (Finance) and Executive Officer of the Punjab Waqf Board. Parneet Shergill has been appointed as the State Transport Commissioner, and Jaspreet Singh will take on the role of Special Secretary for Food Processing.
Furthermore, IAS officer Gautam Jain has been designated as the Additional Secretary for Personnel, and Gulpreet Singh Aulakh has been given the responsibilities of Special Secretary (Revenue and Rehabilitation).
Ayush Goyal has been appointed as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Tapa, and Bikramjeet Singh Shergill has been named the Municipal Commissioner of Amritsar. Transfers have also occurred among the PCS officers, including Esha Singhal, Simarpreet, Gitika Singh, Jeevan Jyot Kaur, and Shivraj Singh Bal.
